IDEA: I want to try Ninjon’s recipe from this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kZuxFb_U6I) next as it looks like nearly the same paint range I’m used to + nice and smooth. (<-photo here is reference from that video after step 5).
1. Base = purple + flesh
2. Shadow + black-lining = red + purple + flesh
3. Highlight = purple + flesh + flesh
4. Highlight = flesh
5. Highlight = flesh + ivory
- Base = Deep Purple
- Layer = Deep Purple + Vampiric Flesh (1:2)
- Layer = Deep Purple + Vampiric Flesh (1:4)
- Glaze shadows and recesses = Magenta
- Highlight = Vampiric Flesh
Armour & weapons
- Wash all armour, weapons, trousers and boots with Nuln Oil + Tenebrous Grey (12:1)
- Edge highlight = Tenebrous Grey + Ivory (1:2)
- Specular highlights/scratches = Ivory
Cloth, cloak & tassels
- idea: grey + red (1:1), then base mix + flesh (1:1), then (1:2), then flesh dot highlights
- Base = Tenebrous Grey + Dirty Red
- Midtone = Dirty Red
- Highlight = Magenta
- Glaze = Dirty Red
- Edge highlight = Magenta + Ivory (2:1)
Base
- Base: Carefully dab on Vallejo earth texture
- Drybrush = Vampiric Flesh
- Rim = Tenebrous Grey
