Adeptus Custodes - 'The Emperors Revenge'

My custom Adeptus Custodes chapter.

  1. Undercoat the coat the model with Chaos Black
  2. Basecoat the model with Leadbelcher


  1. Wash the model with Reikland Fleshshade
  2. Sponge on Temple Guard Blue leaving a lot of the washed metal underneath to create a paint chipping effect on all the model
  3. With a paint brush you can adjust the amount of Temple Guard Blue on the model by dabbing on Leadbelcher (Optional)
  4. Wash the model again with Reikland Fleshshade
  5. Paint the pipework/chest symbol and other areas you wish to be metal with Leadbelcher
  6. Wash the model for a third time with Reikland Fleshshade
  7. Edge highlight the model with Stormhost Silver (Optional)


  1. Basecoat the leather areas with Rhinox Hide
  2. Wash the leather areas with Agrax Earthshade
  3. Edge highlight with Skrag Brown you can also use this to create weathering by adding lines/marks with this colour (Optional)
  4. Water down Abaddon Black to create a glaze, you can then glaze this onto certain areas of the leather to create the darken aged look


  1. Basecoat the rope with Dawnstone
  2. Wash with Agrax Earthshade
  3. Apply Castellan Green in vairous dots/blotches to the rope to create the moldy area on the rope
  4. In the centre of the Castellan Green apply watered down Elysian Green to the mold areas.


  1. Basecoat the plume/robe in Celestra Grey
  2. Wash the plume/robe with Agrax Earthshade
  3. Layer/Edge highlight the plume/rob with Ulthuan Grey
  4. Drybrush the end of the plume/bottom of the robe with a Tuskgor Fur then apply another dry brush of Mournfang Brown then a final drybrush of Skrag Brown


  1. Basecoat the weapon casing with Abaddon Black
  2. Basecoat the markings on the casing with Leadbelcher
  3. Basecoat the handle of the weapon with Screamer Pink
  4. Basecoat the blade with Leadbelcher
  5. Wash the weapon twice with Agrax Earthshade
  6. On the weapon blade apply Typhus Corrosion to areas of the blade you wish to be damaged/weathered
  7. Glaze the blade twice with Guilliman Blue


  1. Basecoat the eye lenses with Ulthuan Grey
  2. Basecoat the gems with Ulthuan Grey
  3. Apply Flesh Tearers Red to the eye lenses and gems


  1. Basecoat the base with Rhinox Hide
  2. Apply Stirland Battlemire and Stirland Mud over the base creating a mixture of both textures.
  3. Wash the base with Agrax Earthshade
  4. Paint the rim of the base with Rhinox Hide
