Cream cloth as used by my Grand Cathay miniatures

  1. Prime: Grey Seer or Wraithbone
  2. Basecoat with Morghast Bone
  3. Mix Seraphim Sepia and Lahmian Medium (1:1) and wash over all the cloth
  4. While still damp, drop Agrax Earthshade carefully into the deepest folds or around the hems

Tip: Tilt the model as it dries so the shade settles where natural grime would collect (lower edges, seams, folds)

  1. Use Ushabti Bone roughly to draw lines along the flat parts, focussing towards the edges to give it a feathered look
  2. Optional: Use Skeleton Horde and Contrast Medium (1:3) in patches to make it look stained where appropriate
  3. Highlight with Screaming Skull on the upper folds
  4. Add further highlights with Pallid Wych Flesh and then spot highlights with White Scar
