My general paint scheme for WH40k Cadians, with added steps at the bottom for any special troops/parts I’ve done.

Prime

1. Brainmatter Beige

Armor

1. I used Army Painter Speedpaint 1.0 Camo Green which I don’t think is made anymore. The 2.0 version is Gunner Camo .

Fatigues

1. Skeleton Horde

Leather

1. Dark Wood with the lighter sleep sacks on the back being Hardened Leather

Gun/Boots/Black accessories

1. Grim Black . For the guns I then drybrush/highlight with a metallic either Vallejo gunmetal or Leadbelcher

Skin

1. I try to mix in several different shades with Crusader Skin , Noble Skin , Warrior Skin

Bases

1. I’ve used several recipes for the destroyed city/rubble base scheme in my Cadians, the main one being sand with black paint over it and a light grey/ Stone Wall Grey drybrush on top.

Officer & Regimental Standard

1. Black in the flag was Grim Black
2. Red pieces are done with Slaughter Red
3. Yellow parts of the flag I believe were Sand Golem
4. The white wings were just Seraphim Sepia over the Brainmatter Beige primer
5. For the words I freehand drew the words but now I have a micron pen that I would use.

Plasma & Bright blues

1. I believe the plasma glow was Plasmatic Bolt while the blue in the medic gloves was Caribbean Ocean .

Mortar Green / Black Rubble Bases

1. The green on the mortars is Castellan Green
2. The bases on these mortar men are GeekGaming Scenics city rubble. I started using this as it’s just a single step of gluing instead of gluing, painting, and drybrushing sand.

Psyker

1. Gold is Hoplite Gold
2. White sash was Holy White with a heavy drybrush of Pallid Wych Flesh
3. Green is Absolution Green
4. Blue is Plasmatic Bolt over a straight white paint.
5. Psyker back side: Wood is Noble Skin . Pistol holster is Satchel Brown . Then just do the wiring and buttons with red/blue/copper.
