How I painted my Preacher's Skin-tone.

Base-Coat

  1. Mix 1: Dark Umber 1: Burnt Red Use as Base-Coat

Midtone

  1. Mix: 1: Golden Brown into your base-coat color. Use this color to highlight the muscle volumes.

This color mixture is your mid-tone. Remember that base-coat color you painted all over your skin? That is now your shadow color. In this step, you are painting where light hits the body/muscles.

Highlight

  1. Mix your midtone color (1. Dark Umber 1 Burnt Red 1 Golden Brown ) with a touch of Bright Warm Grey

Tip: If your color mixture is becoming too grey/white add more Golden Brown into it to help bring it back to your mid-tone.

  1. Glaze this on as your highlight. More layers of this color will add opacity.
