Details

1. Paint black and metallic parts (shoulder pads, knees, elbows, aquila, weapons ...) with Smoke Black
2. Drybrush/stipple weapon casings and basecoat eyes with Scarlet Red
3. Basecoat purity seal wax and paper with Offwhite
4. paint purity seal wax with Hexed Lichen
5. Paint purity seal paper with Dead Flesh
6. Leather details with Beasty Brown
7. Sergeant helmet stripe with Hexed Lichen

Metallics

1. Gold details with Retributor Armour
2. Metal details with Gunmetal thinned with Black Ink

Washes

1. Wash weapons, steel, leather, elbows and knees with Nuln Oil
2. Wash gold parts and purity seals with Agrax Earthshade

Highlight details

1. Mephiston Red highlight for eyes and weapons
2. Highlight purity seal wax and sergent helmet stripe with a 1:1 mix of Hexed Lichen and Magic Blue and purity seal paper with Bone White
3. Final eye highlight with Hot Orange

Basing

1. Mix water, glue, modeling sand and wall filler
2. Smear it on a base
3. While still wet, lay cork on top of it
4. Once dried, aribrush the hot blue lava using Liquitex inks. Titanium white, cerulean blue hue and phtanocyalin blue, do the same to the marines from below for some environmental OSL
5. Paint the cork with Smoke Black
6. When the model is solidly glued to the cork, carefully add glue and sprinkle black sand on it
7. Fix the sand with sealant (I use a mix of glue, water, matte medium and isopropyl alcohol)
8. Drybrush with Sombre Grey followed by Stone Wall Grey
9. Nuln Oil wash the stone
10. ....
11. Profit!
