Prime
- Spray with Chaos Black then zenithal with Mechanicus Standard Grey
Metallic armour
- Wash all armour with a constrast mix of 1:6 Tenebrous Grey + Contrast Medium
- Drybrush the top edge highlights with Offwhite
- Apply two even coats of Gold/Pale Blue over all the armour
- Glaze black 1:4 Tenebrous Grey + Contrast Medium into the recesses to increase the contrast between light and dark and show off the patterns of the armour
- Edge highlight the very top edges with a mix of 1:1 Offwhite + Gold/Pale Blue
Leather straps, belts, seats
- Base all leather and straps with Tenebrous Grey
- Edge highlight with 1:4 thinned Vampiric Flesh + Contrast Medium
Purple skin
- Base all shark flesh with Deep Purple
- Layer Magenta on the top surfaces of all skin, then glaze the magenta to smooth the transition
- Glaze violet into the shadows 1:4 Violet + Contrast Medium . Use 2 thin coats so the dark recesses get darker while the raised areas stay light giving more contrast.
- Layer a 2:1 mix of Magenta + Vampiric Flesh over creases folds and upper details on the flesh. Muscles etc.
- Highlight edges and tips of fines and face details etc with 1:4 thinned Vampiric Flesh + Contrast Medium
Mouth & teeth
- Base shark mouth/gums with Dirty Red
- Wash with 4:1:8 mix of Dirty Red + Violet + water
- Base teeth with Tenebrous Grey
- Layer 1:1 mix of Tenebrous Grey + Vampiric Flesh
- Layer 1:3 mix of Tenebrous Grey + Vampiric Flesh
- Highlight with a thin Vampiric Flesh
Cloth
- Base tassles, clothes and fabric with Dirty Red
- Create a gradient by layering Deep Purple along the end and glazing to smooth the transition
- Layer Magenta on the highest surface areas facing up
- Edge highlight the tips and corners of the upward facing material with a layer mix of 1:1 Magenta + Vampiric Flesh
Base
- Basecoat the base in a 1:4 mix of Tenebrous Grey + Offwhite
- Wash with a 1:6 mix of Violet + Contrast Medium
- Drybrush with a 1:6 mix of Tenebrous Grey + Offwhite
- Drybrush lightly with Vampiric Flesh
