Local store winter speed painting conquest. A simple exercise of fast result mini.
To start, I picked a Wraithbone primed mini, as my intention was to use clear colors.
- Basing Averland Sunset to plain armour yellow areas + hat
- Leather. Zandri Dust over gauntlets, belt and boots
- Layer 1. Bugman's Glow for main shield, and face mask
- Layer 2. Abaddon Black for the hat border and armour details
- Layer 3a. Runefang Steel for sword, and center shield detail
- Layer 3b. Leadbelcher for shield cover and some sword details
Time to cover errors. 45 mins spent. I did again: yellow, direct from the pot to cover the black errors. Brown and red, be neat and cover all corners. 15 mins spent. 30 mins to highlight and shadowing.
- Base. Used Astrogranite to try to get some grey effect on the floor, after that, I did not have the correct tools and was unable to spread it properly and cover all the base, so failed. ❌
- Highlights 1. Agrax Earthshade over the Zandri Dust to achieve some leather effect
- Highlights 2. Reikland Fleshshade over the bread to achieve some hair style. I forgot later to to add some dry brushing over it... 🤦🏻
- Highlights 3. Iyanden Yellow over the yellow. I wanted to try the effect and get some texture. Looks good.
Final minutes to cover some details, try to fix the base and drybrushing with Grey Seer to get some border highlights.
In conclusion, not bad for my first time. Neat painting and clear steps. But I lack of advanced techniques to get more "wow" effect. But really proud.
