Prime & sketch
- Prime Black then apply top down zenithal with Cold Grey then :VallejoGameAir/DeadWhite
- Using a either Matt White or heavy body acrylic white sketch out the definition across the model with the face being a good example
Skin
- Base coat all skin with Greenskin adding in glaze medium to ensure that sketch and zenithal come through.
- Pin wash Purple Tone
- Reapply Greenskin to tidy model. Avoiding the purple where you can
- Mix 50/50 of Greenskin and Wild Green using zenithal as a guide pick out the lighter points avoiding mid tones.
- Using Wild Green highlight inside previous step
- Mix 80/20 of Wild Green and Afterglow . Pushing the contrast with afterglow.
- Final highlights of Leafy Green and a small amount of Afterglow
- Using the previous mixes glaze across the skin to balance the overall look
- Using Pink Potion at a glaze consistency glaze over the lips inside ear's and palms of hands
Any of these step involves thinning your paint adding more water as we work through the steps.
Leather armor
This involves glazing repeatedly until you get the finished look. I personally use glaze medium to achieve this.
- Base coat - Oak Brown
- Highlight 1 - Oak Brown mixed with Leather Brown 50/50
- Highlight 2 - Leather Brown
- Highlight 3 - Leather Brown and Skeleton Bone 50/50
- Final highlights - Skeleton Bone
Please remember this isn't one coat and done you might want to step back a colour to achieve the finish.
- Using undiluted paint pick out straps and micro scratches with Ice Yellow
Metallic armor and weapons
- Base coat with Tainted Gold
- Pin wash with Oil Stains
- Mix 50/50 with Tainted Gold and Shining Silver picking out high points
- Shining Silver pick out all highest points
Misc- teeth, nails, Tongue
- Teeth & nails - Base coat of Tomb King Tan
- Teeth & nails - highlights with Skeleton Bone
- Pin wash Sepia Tone
- Teeth & nails - upper most edge highlight with Ice Yellow
- Tongue - basecoat Alien Purple
- Tongue - highlight of Cultist Purple
