Using non-citadel paints

  1. I start with a zenithal highlight using black stynylrez primer and white acrylic ink, in this case it was Daler Rowney
  2. Basecoat the inside of the cloak with Old Wood first to be able to cover mistakes later, most are in tight areas
  3. We're going to finish the cloak with several glazes of the Old Wood mixed about 50/50 with Bold Titanium White or any other white you have available.
  4. Now basecoat the turquoise parts of the armor with Periscopes
  5. Paint all the leather with Monster Brown
  6. Next we'll hit all the red cloth with Sanguine
  7. I use a thin layer or two of Dark Warm Grey for the outside of the cloaks, and hair. This step may need to be done before the red cloth, depending on the model.
  8. For flesh I switch between several colors for each model, using Pale Skin Drake Tooth or Pale Pink
  9. Depending on the detail base coat the metals with Thrash Metal or Dwarven Gold
  10. Next base the remaining armor parts, necks and gems with Matt Black
  11. Now we'll start washing some of the details, depending on their colors with Flesh Wash Dark Tone Strong Tone or Red Tone
