Clan Lachesis venerable dread, painted in reference to Imperial Armour vol. 9.

Red Armour Panels

  1. Basecoat with Rhinox Hide , it gives a nice tone to the red.
  2. Stipple Khorne Red selectively around the tops and bottoms of all armour panels.
  3. Repeat the process more selectively with Mephiston Red .
  4. Highlight all edges with Mephiston Red .
  5. Recess shade with Agrax Earthshade .
  6. Selectively highlight upwards facing edges and weathering scratches with Wild Rider Red

Green Armour Panels

  1. Basecoat with Castellan Green .
  2. Repeat stippling process with Olive Green followed by a 1:1 mix of Olive Green and Scorpy Green .
  3. Highlight all edges with the same Olive Green and Scorpy Green mix.
  4. Finally highlight the upward edges with pure Orruk Flesh .

Gold Details

  1. Basecoat with Balthasar Gold .
  2. Wash all over with Reikland Fleshshade .
  3. Glaze and highlight with Gold .
  4. Recess shade with Skeleton Horde .
  5. Edge highlight and glaze topmost areas with a 1:1 mix of Gold and Stormhost Silver .

Metal Chassis

  1. Basecoat with Gunmetal .
  2. Wash all over first with Agrax Earthshade followed by Nuln Oil . This gives it a real worn quality.
  3. Drybrush and highlight with Stormhost Silver .

Helmet

  1. Basecoat with Administratum Grey .
  2. Drybrush and edge highlight Corax White .
  3. Recess shade with a 1:1 mix of Lahmian Medium and Administratum Grey .
  4. Final edge highlight of White Scar .

Lenses

  1. Basecoat with Khorne Red .
  2. Paint 2/3 starting from the inside of the eye with Mephiston Red .
  3. Finish the inside 1/3 with Wild Rider Red .

Ranged Weapon

  1. Basecoat any metal elements with Gunmetal . It helps to do this first so you can then neaten up with the black.
  2. Wash sequentially with Agrax Earthshade followed by Nuln Oil .
  3. Highlight edges and glaze barrels with Stormhost Silver .
  4. Basecoat any casing with your chosen Black .
  5. Highlight all edges with Eshin Grey .
  6. Selectively highlight again with Administratum Grey .
  7. Pick out any details with Balthasar Gold , it breaks it up visually.

Plasma Coil

  1. Basecoat with Baharroth Blue .
  2. Wash between the coils and along the bottom edge with a 1:1 mix of Lahmian Medium and White Scar .
  3. Drybrush over the top of the coils with Imperial Blue .

Scrolls/Parchment

  1. Basecoat with Wraithbone .
  2. Wash with Skeleton Horde .
  3. Highlight top edges with Elfic Flesh .
  4. Recess shade with Agrax Earthshade .
