For basic necron sanstone for future reference

Model

  1. Prime the model with an airbrush, black primer and white zenithal highlight
  2. Add a single layer base coat of Dark Sand with airbrush
  3. Use AK Light & Dry crackle and AK Dry Ground on parts of the miniature to give it texture
  4. Finish base coating the model after letting it dry with an other layer of Dark Sand
  5. Wash the model using Sepia Wash all over
  6. Use a dry brush to add Dark Sand
  7. Use a dry brush to add an other highlight with Pale Sand
  8. Use a detail brush to add edge highlight with Bone White
  9. Use a detail brush to fill in metal parts (coil and blade) with Copper
  10. Use normal brush to paint energy weapon (front part and weapon tube, eyes) blue using Medium Blue
  11. Use sponge to bad on some grey highlights using Dark Sea Grey
  12. For some extra warmth add some sporadic effect using Flesh Wash
  13. Use an airbrush to add glowing effects using Sky Blue

Base

  1. Using some super glue, add some black rocks from basing kit
  2. Apply a thick layer of Astrogranite to add texture to the base
  3. Use some black Black to prime the rocks
  4. Add a layer of Medium Sea Grey to the rocks
  5. Dry brush the rocks using Dark Sea Grey
  6. Edge highlight rocks using Stone Wall Grey
  7. Add details and life to rocks using Vallejo Environment Lichen and Moss
  8. Varnish the miniature after letting it dry
  9. Add more detail to base using a tuft of Alien Blood and Moon
