Priming

  1. Primed in white.

White Armour

  1. Paint the white armour panels in Corax White

Cloth

  1. Base painted in a thinned down Wraithbone and then using a an (1:8) Skeleton Horde : Lahmian Medium I applied a wash over the Wraithbone areas.
  2. Highlight with Screaming Skull
  3. Snakebite Leather into the deepest recesses
  4. Wraithbone for brightest highlight areas.
  5. Cloth trim highlighted using (3:1) White Scar : Wraithbone

Gold Trim

  1. Basecoat using Viking Gold
  2. Apply a highlight using a (1:1) Dwarven Gold : Elven Gold
  3. Apply light spots using Citrine Alchemy

Silver Armour

  1. Base coat (1:1) Black Metal : Thrash Metal
  2. Highlight reflex planes Heavy Metal
  3. Edge highlight using White Metal

Warm Gold/Copper

  1. Base coat sigil on chest, lantern, sword guard and metal on scabbard using Retributor Armour
  2. Layer with Victorian Brass to get a warmer, copper tone

Blue Gems and Lantern

  1. I used a (2:1:1) mix of Lothern Blue : Corax White : Lahmian Medium and applied 2 thin layers to the gems and lantern areas

Blue Areas

  1. Base coat in Anthracite Grey - Scalecolor mixed with a Matte Medium (I use Liquitex Matte Medium).
  2. Layer using Thousand Sons Blue mixed with Matte Medium (2-3:1 paint to medium) and apply a couple of layers.
  3. Added a shade to darken the recesses by applying Drakenhof Nightshade to the blue areas painted in previous steps.
  4. Use watered down Corax White to highlight and fix up any mistakes on the banner edges and shield areas. As well as the imprint symbols on the banners.
  5. Skeleton Horde wash into the white symbols of the banners.
  6. Corax White on the jewels of the headgear.

Leather Areas

  1. I used Eclipse Grey basecoat the boots and the gloves.

Wood Areas

  1. Basecoated using Brown Leather for the scabbard and poles/spears

Skin

  1. Pink Flesh or Pale Skin with a tiny drop of Indian Shadow applied to the face carefully.
  2. Thin layer of Flayed One Flesh on top.

Base

  1. Graphene Gray thinned using Matte Medium and coated on the rock.
  2. Rhinox Hide for the soil on the plant (for the commander warden with sword)
  3. Grass painted with Sherwood Green
  4. Stirland Mud for an earthy/muddy base effect.
  5. Paint the rim with a Rhinox Hide
  6. Add grass tafts as extra effects you have any or make the base yours 😀
