- Prime with Chaos Black - I personally use Vallejo Premium Color Black (62.020).
- Airbrush work:
- Underspray from below with Amethyst Rayne
- Airbrush the model with Hydra Green , but avoid spraying from below to keep some of the purple in the shadows.
- Zenithal with Jade Green from about a 45° angle.
- Zenithal with Ghoul Green on the upward facing surfaces, maximum 15° angle.
- Optional zenithal with a 1:1 mix of Ghoul Green and Ice Yellow from directly vertical on the topmost surfaces. - Brush work - base coats:
- Mechanical metallics (armour pieces, vents, weapons etc.) with Dwarven Iron
- Ornamental metallics (decorations, runes, etc.) with Battle Axe Brass
- Weapon non-metallics with Death Reaper
- White armour plates with Griffon Claw , then a highlight with Ivory Tusk .
- Leathers (gloves, boots, pouches, holsters, belts, etc.) with Cuirass Leather .
- Fabrics (fatigues, etc.) with Eidolon Grey
- Rubbers (knee and elbow pads, shoes, etc.) with Doom Death Black - All over oil wash:
Mix of Burnt Umber 2 : 1 Paynes Grey
Reductive technique:
After 20-30min use a cotton swab dipped in white spirits to remove the oil wash from the raised surfaces, leaving the wash in the recesses.
