How I painted my copy of the official 'Warrior Priest' model for the new game 1490 Doom. I looked at a load of artwork for medieval priests and found one I liked. I took those colour choices and applied it to the (admittedly different) equipment of my Warrior Priest. No regrets.

Dark Green Robes
- Basecoat with 1:1 Corvus Black and Caliban Green .
 - Shade deep recesses with Abaddon Black .
 - Highlight raised details with 1:3 Corvus Black and Caliban Green .
 - Take some of the above paint and mix it 1:1 with Sons of Horus Green , then add chunky edge highlights.
 - Now apply fine edge highlights with pure Sons of Horus Green .
 - Mix the Sons of Horus Green 1:1 with Ice Yellow and selectively highlgiht.
 - Add some Ivory to the above mix and then selectively highlight corners and curves.

Cream Robes
- Basecoat with 2:1 Wraithbone and Rakarth Flesh .
 - Add soft shading with thinned Karak Stone .
 - More precisely shade with XV-88 , covering less area.
 - Shade only the deepest parts and harshest folds with Rhinox Hide .
 - Apply chunky highlights with Wraithbone .
 - Mix your Wraithbone with an equal amount of White , then apply fine highlgiths.
 - Finish with selective White highlights.

The highlights for this material are best applied as scratchy lines to give texture. I would also advise applying some as occasional dots in the latter stages.
White Shirt
- Basecoat with 1:1 Celestra Grey and White .
 - Wash with Apothecary White .
 - Increase the amount of White in your basecoat and apply fine highlights.
 - Finish with a few selective White highlights.

Skin
- Basecoat with Kislev Flesh .
 - Wash with 2:1 Reikland Fleshshade and Contrast Medium .
 - Selectively highlight with Flayed One Flesh .
 - Finish with a few specular highlights of Pallid Wych Flesh on the knuckles.

Tarnished Gold Helmet
- Basecoat with Retributor Armour .
 - Wash with an equal parts mix of Agrax Earthshade , Reikland Fleshshade and Contrast Medium .
 - Shade the cross with thin Rhinox Hide .
 - Enhance the shading around the cross with a glaze of Reikland Fleshshade .
 - Mix some Silver RLM01 Metallic into your Retributor Armour and apply chunky highlights.
 - Increase the amount of Silver RLM01 Metallic again, then apply fine highlight.
 - Finish with a few specular highlights of pure Silver RLM01 Metallic .

Dark Brown Leather Tube
- Basecoat with Rhinox Hide .
 - Take some thinned Mournfang Brown and apply a heavy glaze over the tube. Work in rough lines, always pulling your brush towards the apex of the tube.
 - Now with Skrag Brown , apply a chunky highlight down the most exposed part of the tube, covering less area that the previous stage.
 - Mix 1:1 Skrag Brown and Ushabti Bone and repeat the above, but make it a finer highlight.
 - Selectively highlight with Ushabti Bone .
 - Add a little :white to the Ushabti Bone and add a couple of specular highlights, where needed.

Metal Mace Head
- Basecoat with Leadbelcher .
 - Wash with Nuln Oil .
 - Glaze some Agrax Earthshade into the deep recesses of the mace head.
 - Mix some Silver RLM01 Metallic into your Leadbelcher , then add some highlights.
 - Finish with a few specular/very small Silver RLM01 Metallic highlights.

Black Mace Shaft
- Basecoat with Black .
 - Drybrush with Dark Reaper .
 - Drybrush again, but slightly lighter with Thunderhawk Blue .
 - Overbrush an even smaller highlight with Fenrisian Grey .
 - Mix a little White into your Fenrisian Grey and apply very small highlights.
