- Prime with a pure white, like White Scar
- Tint the inner visor with Aethermatic Blue
- Wash the armour with a 1:2 mix of Soulblight Grey and Lahmian Medium .
- Fill in the weapon and undersuit with Black Templar
- Use weathering pencils to scuff up the armour - I like to use AK Concrete Marks on the weapons/tech, then a variety of other colours on the armour to match the base.
Because I was basing these with a red-orange-brown, Geonosis-y scheme, I applied marks with AK Light Rust, AK Vivid Orange, AK Medium Rust, AK Earth Brown and AK Streaking Dirt randomly. In areas where it felt a bit 'too much', I used a damp brush to move or remove the pigment. - At this point, I did my quick basing - https://paintpad.app/r/3PZ
- To paint the barricade included in the Shatterpoint kit, which had been primed White Scar with the model, I first coated it in Basilicanum Grey . I stippled Stormvermin Fur over this messily, and finally drybrushed it with Tyrant Skull .
- To finish off the model, I stabbed a bit of GSW Dark Red Oxide and GSW Burnt Umber pigments, slightly dusting the feet/shins and barricade.
