  1. Prime Steelforge Silver or equivalent silver metallic.
  2. Coat the entire miniature in Vallejo Rust Texture environment fx.
  3. Heavily drybrush the entire miniature with Thrash Metal , followed by a lighter drybrush with Heavy Metal
  4. Pick out the leather straps with a dark brown, such as Rhinox Hide . I used AK11330 Rotbraun as I had it at hand. If you want to be lore-accurate, use a black instead, but I wanted a worn-brown effect to match the desert basing.
  5. Thin a white with strong coverage, such as Matt White , and paint the weapons with this, and also use it to dot the eye stalks.
  6. Tint a few random metal parts/the shoulders with a contrast paint to imply a use of different metals. I used Snakebite Leather .
  7. Using a stippling motion, highlight the leather with a light brown - I use Baneblade Brown
  8. Coat the weapons and details on the leather bandoliers with Black Templar . Once dry, I added some texture with a weathering pencil, but you could just use a lighter grey or HB pencil (Concrete Marks and Dust/Rainmarks by AK are what I used).
  9. Tint the lenses on the eye stalks with a luminous, vibrant red. I used Red Ecstasy
  10. Coat a few of the wires/etc with a dark red such as Word Bearers Red . Coat the rest with Navy Blue or a similar dark blue.
  11. I based these in my general desert style: https://paintpad.app/r/3Tc
