Preparation
- Prime with White
- Wash with Agrax Earthshade
Armour
- Base with Sterling Silver Base 77.121
- Wash with Sterling Silver Shade 77.141
- Highlight with Sterling Silver Light 77.101
Wood
- Base with Rhinox Hide
- Highlight with Skrag Brown
Skin
- Base with Bugman's Glow
- Shade with Reikland Fleshshade
- First highlight with Cadian Fleshtone
- Second highlight with Kislev Flesh
- Add tiny dots with Pale Sand to the face
White cloth
These areas are already white and shaded with Agrax Earthshade as part of the preparation step.
- Establish mid-tone with Buff
- Highlight with Pale Sand
- (Optional) Specular highlight with Ivory for a more white looking cloth.
Leather 1
- Base with Cavalry Brown
- Shade with Agrax Earthshade
Leather 2
- Base with Rhinox Hide
- Highlight with Skrag Brown
- Specular highlight with Pale Sand mixed with Skrag Brown 1-1
Red cloth
- Base with Rhinox Hide
- Mix 1-1 Rhinox Hide with Carmine Red
- Multiple glazes of Carmine Red
- Specular highlights with Blood Red
Red shield
- Base with Carmine Red
- Shade the bottom of the shield with Agrax Earthshade
- Apply gloss varnish
- Apply decal with Vallejo Decal Fix
- Wait to dry and apply Vallejo Decal Softener over the decal
- Apply Matt varnish
- Apply Agrax Earthshade again at the bottom of the shield and cover part of the decal
Basing
I am using a 40mm*40mm base to hold 4 infantry miniatures.
- Apply Vallejo diorama FX earth texture Desert Sand 26.217
- Wash with Seraphim Sepia
- Drybrush with Pale Sand
- Paint base rim with Medium Flesh Tone
Bronze
- Base with Rhinox Hide
- Apply Bronze
- Wash recesses with Agrax Earthshade
