My first attempt at painting a mid war Afrika Korps infantry squad. The Germans transitioned from using green uniforms to sand uniforms during the war but units often used whatever they had, so I like a mix of both. The green on sand looks really sharp.
- Prime with Desert Yellow Make sure to do it in a box if it is windy

- Drybrush base with Desert Yellow
- Paint the ring around the base Mahogany Brown
- Drybrush with Desert Yellow mixed with a little bit of White Although you probably could use Desert Yellow Use just a little bit to hightlight the very tips
- Basecoat the jackets with Russian Uniform WWII

- Highlight the green jackets with the original color you used, Russian Uniform WWII and then German Camouflage Beige WWII
- Highlight the sand uniforms with the original color Desert Yellow and then Desert Yellow . I might have also done a final highlight with 50/50 white/ :Vallejo/DesertYellow

- Lightly highlight any straps and the rifle, the canteen, and any pouches that are brown with US Field Drab
- Highlight the satchel and bedroll with US Field Drab
- Admire your handiwork
- Chip the helmets with a small sponge or foam using Black Grey
- Apply decals
