A step by step guide on how I painted a Blood Angels Intercessor.

1. Undercoat the model with Chaos Black

RED POWER ARMOUR

1. Basecoat the the armour of the model with Mephiston Red
2. Shade the red armour with a 3:1 mixture of Abaddon Black & Mephiston Red
3. Edge highlight the armour with Evil Sunz Scarlet
4. Apply a second edge highlight to the sharpest points of the armour with Wild Rider Red - This step is optional, I would use this mainly for Character models.

UNDER-SUIT & GUN CASING

1. Basecoat the areas of the model you want to be black with Abaddon Black
2. Edge highlight the undersuit/gun casing & any other areas which are black on the model with Eshin Grey
3. Apply a second edge highlight of Dawnstone - This step is optional, I would use this mainly for Character models.

METALS/METALICS

1. Basecoat the metal areas on the model with Leadbelcher
2. Basecoat the areas you want to be gold with Retributor Armour
3. Shade the silver & gold metals/metallics with Nuln Oil
4. Edge highlight the gold metallics with Auric Armour Gold
5. Edge highlight the silver metallics with Stormhost Silver

WINGS & AQUILA

1. Basecoat the wings & aquila with Ulthuan Grey
2. Shade the wings & aquila with Nuln Oil
3. Edge highlight the wings/aquila with White Scar

PURITY SEALS

1. Basecoat the wax of the purity seal with Screamer Pink
2. Basecoat the parchment of the purity seal with Zandri Dust
3. Shade all of the purity seal with Agrax Earthshade
4. Edge highlight the wax of the purity seal with Pink Horror
5. Edge highlight the parchment of the purity seal with Ushabti Bone

GEMS/STONES

1. Basecoat the gems on the model with Warpstone Glow
2. Edge highlight the bottom of the gem with Moot Green Also apply a dot of this colour to one of the sides of the gem in the light.

EYES/LENSES

1. Basecoat the eyes with Ulthuan Grey
2. Apply Waywatcher Green to the eyes, don't worry if it over spills slightly as this can enhance the glow affect. Once this is dry you can then apply a second coat of Waywatcher Green

BASING

1. Apply Astrogranite Debris to the base of the model.
2. Wash the base with Agrax Earthshade
3. Drybrush the base with Tyrant Skull
4. Apply Valhallan Blizzard to a majority of the base to create the snow texture.
5. Lastly paint the rim of the base with Dawnstone
