The Penitent from Oathsworn: Into the Deepwood. I wanted to expand my use of metallics, inspired by https://monumenthobbies.com/blogs/methodologies/methodology-29-weathered-bronze-armor
I really liked the colors this included, though I overdid the metals themselves. The game has a LOT of capes, mostly red or purple, so I wanted to try an orange version. The end result is a bit eccentric given the game's theme, but I'm pretty happy with it overall, especially since I don't have any dark orange tones.
Armor
Base the Armor with Jade - Stipple Verdigris leaving some of the color exposed beneath. Focus on areas water would settle.
Stipple turquoise Sky Blue in spots
Lightly Dry Brush Dark Bronze , building up color
Lightly Dry Brush Runelord Brass on broad highlights- Lightly Dry Brush Light Bronze on narrow highlights / edges
I over-applied the Brass and Light Bronze on this; would have preferred more of the verdigris to stay.
Cape
Undertone Leather Brown , mixing with Mythical Orange and highlights with Warlord Purple - Darker areas with Hot Orange . Midtones with gradual additions of Mythical Orange
- Highlights with additional mixes of Averland Sunset and Skeleton Bone
Everything Else
- Book & Parchment Skeleton Bone with Sepia wash. Then thin Skeleton Bone for highlights.
- Fur: Well-thinned Leather Brown almost as a wash, followed by dry-brushing and selective highlights with Skeleton Bone
- Paldrons based with Jade . Then mixed with Skeleton Bone for texture highlights
- Leather with Vallejo Gorgon Brown 72.124, highlights with mixed Skeleton Bone
- Mace Leadbelcher and Black Ink
- Helment 'hair' (?) Mythical Orange and mixes of Averland Sunset
