This recipe will be focused on speed, and theremore you might think some steps are missing, or that some parts of the mini gets less love than others, and that is intentional. If you want to go further with some steps, then you absolutely should!

Prime in Grey Seer . Note that some steps use similar washes and colors, make sure you find an good way utilizing that! E.g. washing the orange and the white armor at the same time!

Blue pants

  1. Base in Dark Reaper . If you want to be really speedy, then just do a thin and quite watery layer of Dark Reaper , for regular troops, this could be enough.
  2. If you want to push it further, do a highlight of Thunderhawk Blue

Orange jumpsuit

  1. Base in Gryph-hound Orange
  2. Wash with 1:1 mix of Agrax Earthshade and Lahmian Medium
  3. Highlight using Fire Dragon Bright

Bone white armor

  1. Base using Pallid Wych Flesh
  2. Wash with 1:1 mix of Agrax Earthshade and Lahmian Medium
  3. Add any red stripes using e.g. Blood Angels Red or Khorne Red
  4. Re-apply Pallid Wych Flesh , I do this with a sponge, you can paint it too, but make sure to do some scratches to the red stripes if there are any.
  5. Sponge on mud/paint chips using Dryad Bark , focus on edges

Skin

  1. Base in Pallid Wych Flesh
  2. This is a step where you can experiment, but I wash the skin with a 3:2:1 mix of Magos Purple , Guilliman Flesh and Contrast Medium .
  3. Recess shade some spots using Magos Purple , also glaze this on the back of the head
  4. Glaze back up raised areas with Pallid Wych Flesh

Black boots, gloves and guns

This method can also be used on the armor panels.

  1. Base in Garaghak's Sewer
  2. Highlight and make scratches with Karak Stone
