A guide to painting Death Korps of Kreig for Warhammer 40k and Kill Team

1. Spray or paint the model a light grey colour. I use Tamiya fine grey primer.
   Basecoats Greatcoat The Fang Cuffs Thunderhawk Blue Trousers Mechanicus Standard Grey Bedroll, Gasmask and Gators Karak Stone Boots and Rifle Sling Rhinox Hide Webbing Mournfang Brown Gloves Corvus Black Black Metal Black Silver Metal Iron Hands Steel Gold Retributor Armour
2. Once all block colours are on wash with Agrax Earthshade
3. Re block in the Basecoats leaving the wash in the recesses. Leave the metal areas washed fully.
4. For the shoulder pads and helmet give three thin washes of Black Templar some light chips and edge highlights with Steel Metallic and a final wash of Black Templar to complete the deep metallic black colour.
5. Now highlight with the following colours Greatcoat Russ Grey Cuffs Fenrisian Grey Trousers Dawnstone Bedroll, Gasmask and Gators Ushabti Bone Boots and Rifle Sling Mournfang Brown Webbing Skrag Brown Gloves Mechanicus Standard Grey Silver Metal Aluminum Metallic Black Mechanicus Standard Grey Gold Auric Armour Gold
6. Eyes, repaint in the eyes black and build up the colour Mephiston Red then Evil Sunz Scarlet and finally a little Fire Dragon Bright
7. Drybrush Gorthor Brown to simulate mud.
8. Gloss Varnish the shoulders before adding transfers. I also use Micro Sol/Set to aid getting a flat finish.
9. Give a coat of Matt Varnish. I recomended Windsor and Newton Matt Varnish Spray
10. Gloss Varnish the eyes and any other lenses or glass.
11. Screens Caliban Green Warpstone Glow Yriel Yellow
