1. I began this mini in 2 subassemblies - the boat, and the goblin.

The Captain

1. Prime Standard Grey
2. Basecoats:
   - Hat Tenebrous Grey
   - Cummerbund Deep Purple
   - Coat Black Red
   - Skin AK3G Olivgrun Opt.1
   - Trousers AK3G Dunkelbraun
   - Sword Thrash Metal
   - Gold Necro Gold
   - Boots Dark Brown
   - Hair & Eyes Offwhite
3. I then used a micron fineliner 005 to dot the pupils, and tidied up any of the basecoats where I'd made mistakes.
4. Next, I washed the entire model bar the hair and eyes with a 2:1 mix of Lahmian Medium : Agrax Earthshade . The hair was washed with Soulblight Grey .

The Boat

1. Prime Hyrax Brown
2. Drybrush the hull with Dark Brown , then mix in a little Thar Brown for a more extreme drybrush/highlight.
3. The wheel and sail were then basecoated with Tenebrous Grey , the coins with Necro Gold , and the other metallic details with Thrash Metal . I then named the vessel (I went with TIP SEA) on the plaques with a micron fineliner 005.
4. The entire model was then washed with Mortarion Grime , bar the gold, which received a coat of the aforementioned 2:1 mix of Lahmian Medium : Agrax Earthshade

Highlights and Final Steps

1. At this point, I glued the models together, as any unreachable areas would be in shadow anyways.
2. I used Thar Brown to highlight the stitching across the model
3. Dirty Red highlights on the cloak. The cummerbund was a bit too bright so I added a coat of Agrax Earthshade to knock it back further.
4. For the sail, I drybrushed it with Neutral Grey in a messy fashion
5. For the hat, I added messy highlights with AK3G Dunkelbraun
6. The skin was highlighted with AK3G Reflective Green, then I added some Magenta in for the nose.
7. Shoes and parts of the hull were highlighted with Mud Brown
8. The gold parts were highlighted with the aptly named Moonstone Alchemy ; this was also used to dot the rivets and buttons.
9. The base was coated in Mod Podge, then Krautcover Booty Beach was sprinkled all over. The rim was blocked in with a black AK Playmarker.
