This crecipe is very inspired by but twisted with what I have and like.
Prime
- Spray Wolf Grey or black primer into Wolf Grey with a air-brush
Base
Base the boot, bag, leather, armor( shoulder pad, helmet ...) with Dark Wood
Dry brush Skrag Brown on the leather and the bag
Base all remaining metal, the pipe and the gun with a black, to win time Grim Black will do well- For the metalic I use Plate Mail Metal . For the armor( shoulder pad, helmet ...) I just give a little touch with an old medium brush (rectangle for myself to have random pattern) to see the brown under to do a used or rust effect. For everything else I base all the parts with a brush but sometimes I let a little bit of brown or black for having a unique mini.
Now we need to base the sleeping bag or what ever this is on the bag and the strap on the boot with a beige, for me it's Morghast Bone - For the gaz mask i use Dark Brown but for some mask like the skull I use Ivory to bring them out.
- You can with a metalic Plate Mail Metal do the contours of the eyes.
- With Gory Red do the eyes.
- For the sword hilt pommel do a golden, for me it's Retributor Armour just because i have it.
- Finish all the details you want and pass to the last step
- With an old brush cover all the mini with Streaking Grime if you want something less heavy you can dilute a little mineral spirit (white spirit). After waiting for the paint to stop shining, this can take 30 min to 3 h depending on the temperature.
- Now with at choice or mixed an old bush, Q-tips sponge for makeup and normal Q-tips but I don't recommend because this can let some conton on the mini. You take a little bit of mineral spirit and gently remove Streaking Grime more or less for the result you want. This does easily the grim dark effect and it's very easy for army painting.
