Teal and blue armour
- Spray Prime assembled models from below with Tempest Blue rattle can primer
- Zenithal prime with Matt White spray primer. Ensure an even and bright coat and only leave the Tempest Blue in shadows.
- Airbrush Sybarite Green over the bottom 2/3 of the model, tapering off at the upper chest, upper arms and shoulders of the model.
- Airbrush Temple Guard Blue from above, hitting the areas in the top 1/3 of the model, namely shoulders, upper arms and upper chest.
- Add a few drops of Baharroth Blue into the previous paint and hit the very tops of the blue areas to provide a highlight.
- Optional step: Airbrush Gloss Polyurethane Varnish over the entire model
- Mix up a diluted oil wash using thinner and Midnight Blue and pin wash the deeper recesses of the model. Alternatively, pinwash with 3:1 Lahmian Medium and Coelia Greenshade .
- If necessary clean up green areas using a make up sponge and Sybarite Green and blue areas with Temple Guard Blue .
- Edge highlight blue areas with Baharroth Blue , focusing on the light catching hard edges
Weapons and items
- Paint weapons and items with a 1:1 mix of Matt Black and Black Legion
- Chip highlight edges of weapons using Grey Castle
- Oil wash with Shadow Brown
Gemstones
- Basecoat gem with Hexed Violet
- Apply Shyish Purple to the top right 1/4 of the gem to darken this area
- Highlight the remaining 3/4 of the lower left of the gem with Purple , with the band of highlight being thickest in the bottom left corner.
- Provide a focused highlight in the bottom left corner using Warlock Magenta
- Using the tip of a skewer or toothpick, place a white dot in the top right corner of the gem using Matt White or other white paint
- Paint the whole gem with Ardcoat gloss varnish
Pale caucasian skin tone
- Prime faces seperately using Grey Seer
- Apply a 1:1 mix of Lahmian Medium and Guilliman Flesh over the skin areas.
- Once dry, progessively mix Ice Yellow in with Guilliman Flesh and layer up highlights on face, focusing on brows, cheek bones, nose and lips.
- If needed, add depth with Guilliman Flesh to shadow or recesses, ie around mouth and in cheek hollows.
- Paint white elements of face mask with Matt White
- Paint black elements with a 1:1 mix of Matt Black and Black Legion .
- Paint hair using contrast paints of your choice.
