Paint recipe for Skaven minis

Painting skin and Fur

1. Zenithal spray Grey Seer over Colourforge Hyrax Brown
2. Paint skin and fur areas with 1:1:1 ratio of Darkoath Flesh Contrast Medium Stormvermin Fur
3. Shade skin and fur areas with Targor Rageshade
4. Paint fur tufts with Steel Legion Drab , keeping paint thinned where the fur meets the skin
5. Shade fur tufts with Agrax Earthshade
6. Shade fleshy areas with thinned Magos Purple
7. Shade end half of the tail with undiluted Magos Purple . While the paint is wet, rinse your brush and blend the edge of Magos Purple into the existing tail colour
8. Paint eyes with Baal Red

Painting Skryre cloth

1. Paint turquoise areas a 1:1 mix of Black Templar and Aeldari Emerald
2. Paint burgundy areas with 1:1 mix of Black Templar and Sigvald Burgundy

Painting Verminus cloth

1. Paint red areas with 1:1 mix of Baal Red and Blood Angels Red
2. Recess shade red with Flesh Tearers Red

Painting Pestilens

1. Paint cloth with Plaguebearer Flesh if not strong enough, apply a second coat

Painting bone cloth

1. Paint cloth with Skeleton Horde if not strong enough, apply a second coat

Painting mossy wood details

1. Paint wood (weapon hafts/shields) with Dryad Bark
2. Carefully drybrush wood with Bright Ivory
3. Wash wood areas with a 2:2:1 mix of Contrast Medium Basilicanum Grey and Militarum Green

Painting Brass details

1. Paint brass armour and details with thinned Runelord Brass
2. Apply a second thinned coat to improve coverage
3. Wash areas with undiluted Darkoath Flesh
4. Wash areas with a 1:1 mix of Nuln Oil and Agrax Earthshade
5. Apply a thin wash of Turquoise Lights oil paint over the brass areas
6. Allow to set for 5-10 minutes then clean up the oil with a q-tip covered in white spirits

Painting rusted steel details

1. Paint steel areas with thinned Thrash Metal applying a second coat to improve coverage
2. Wash areas with 1:1 mix of Nuln Oil and Agrax Earthshade
3. Apply small spots of thinned Mournfang Brown to some recesses to look like rust
