Section 1: Getting Started

  1. Prime the miniature black with Krylon Matte Black spray paint.
  2. Heavy dry brush the miniature with German Grey .

Section 2: Basing

  1. Apply a base coat of German Fieldgrey WWII to the GREAT COAT.
  2. Apply a base coat of Grey Green to the TROUSERS.
  3. Apply a base coat of Basalt Grey to the GAS MASK HOSE and GAS MASK HOOD.
  4. Apply a base coat of Khaki to the PUTTEES.
  5. Apply a base coat of Stone Grey to the BEDROLL.
  6. Apply a base coat of German Grey to the GAS MASK, BOOTS, GLOVES, WEBBING, BACKPACK and WEAPON.
  7. Apply a base coat of Gun Metal to the HELMET, SHOULDER ARMOUR, GLOVE ARMOUR, BELT BUCKLE, GAS MASK FRAME, WEAPON METAL PARTS and MISC. METAL PARTS.
  8. Apply a base coat of White to the GAS MASK RESPIRATOR DIAL BACKING.
  9. Apply a base coat of Flat Red to the GAS MASK RESPIRATOR DIAL and the GAS MASK LENS.

Section 3: Wash

  1. Apply a wash of Agrax Earthshade to the entire miniature.

Section 4: Layering

  1. Apply a layer of Grim Black to HELMET, SHOULDER ARMOUR, GLOVE ARMOUR and BELT BUCKLE (Avoid the Aquila).
  2. Apply a layer of German Fieldgrey WWII to the flat and raised areas of the GREAT COAT.
  3. Apply a layer of Grey Green to the flat and raised areas of the TROUSERS.
  4. Apply a layer of Basalt Grey to the flat and raised areas of the GAS MASK HOSE and GAS MASK HOOD.
  5. Apply a layer of Khaki to the flat and raised areas of the PUTTEES.
  6. Apply a layer of Stone Grey to the flat and raised areas of the BEDROLL.
  7. Apply a layer of German Grey to the flat and raised areas of the GAS MASK, BOOTS, GLOVES, WEBBING, BACKPACK and WEAPON.
  8. Apply a layer of Gun Metal to the flat and raised areas of the AQUILA ON THE HELMET, AQUILA ON THE BELT BUCKLE, WEAPON METAL PARTS and MISC. METAL PARTS.

Section 5: Highlighting

  1. Apply a highlight of Heavy Grey to the raised edges of the GREAT COAT.
  2. Apply a highlight of Basalt Grey to the raised edges of the TROUSERS.
  3. Apply a highlight of Stone Grey to the raised edges of the PUTTEES.
  4. Apply a highlight of Skeleton Bone to the raised edges of the BEDROLL.
  5. Apply a highlight of Neutral Grey to the raised edges of the GAS MASK, GAS MASK HOOD, GAS MASK HOSE, BOOTS, GLOVES, WEBBING, BACKPACK and WEAPON.
  6. Apply a highlight of Plate Mail Metal the raised edges of the ARMOUR, WEAPON METAL PARTS and MISC. METAL PARTS.

Section 6: Details

  1. Apply details to the GAS MASK RESPIRATOR DIAL BACKING with White .
  2. Apply details to the GAS MASK RESPIRATOR DIAL and GAS MASK LENS with Scarlet
  3. Apply details to the BUTTONS on the GREAT COAT and BACKPACK. with Black .
  4. Apply finer details to the GAS MASK LENS with Amaranth Red and White .

Section 7: Extra Bits

  1. Leather: Apply a base coat of Leather Brown . Apply a wash of Agrax Earthshade . Apply a layer of Leather Brown to the flat and raised areas. Apply a highlight of Flat Earth to the raised edges.
  2. Plasma Effect: Apply a base coat of Sky Blue . Apply a light dry brush of Sky Blue to create OSL (Object Source Lighting). Apply a light dry brush of Deep Sky Blue to the top part of the PLASMA EFFECT. Apply a 1:3 mixture of White and Thinner Medium to the bottom edges of the PLASMA EFFECT.
