This recipe is based on one of my favourite pieces of Drukhari artwork. Its pretty different to the studio version, but much more to my tastes.

Green Armour

1. Basecoat with Dark Reaper & Lupercal Green , mixed in equal amounts.
2. Shade recesses with Abaddon Black , mixed in with the Dark Reaper and Lupercal Green from your last step. As far as a ratio goes, I added roughly as much black as I had basemix left. So 2:1:1.
3. Now add some Sons of Horus Green to the initial mix of Dark Reaper and Lupercal Green from the first step. Again, use a ratio of roughly 2:1:1. Apply chunky edge highlights with this mix.
4. Now add fine edge highlights with Sons of Horus Green .
5. Selectively highlight with 1:1 Sons of Horus Green and Ionrach Skin .
6. Finish with specular highlights of Ionrach Skin .

Red Eye Lenses

1. Paint the lens with Mephiston Red .
2. Highlight most of the lens with Wild Rider Red .
3. Selectively highlight the part closest to the nose with Fire Dragon Bright .
4. Add a specular highlight of Ice Yellow (or Dorn Yellow ) right next to the nose.

Weapon Casing

1. Basecoat with 1:1 Karak Stone and Ushabti Bone .
2. Wash with a 1:1 Agrax Earthshade and Reikland Fleshshade .
3. Edge highlight with Screaming Skull .
4. Apply small/specular highlights with Screaming Skull mixed with White .

Tabbard

1. Basecoat with Rakarth Flesh .
2. Wash with Reikland Fleshshade .
3. In deep recesses, add fine lines of 1:1 Doombull Brown and Rhinox Hide .
4. Edge highlight with 1:1 Rakarth Flesh and Pallid Wych Flesh .
5. Finally, add selective highlights of Pallid Wych Flesh .

Purple Cloth

1. Basecoat with Naggaroth Night & Screamer Pink mixed 1:1.
2. Shade recesses with thin Abaddon Black .
3. Add highlights with Screamer Pink .
4. Edge highlight with 1:1 Screamer Pink and Ushabti Bone .
5. Add specular/seective highlights with Screaming Skull .

Black Leather

1. Basecoat with Black .
2. Highlight with The Fang .
3. Enhance the highlights with smaller amounts of Blue Horror .

On larger areas of black leather, consider mixing the colours, just to ease the transition.

Steel

1. Basecoat with Leadbelcher .
2. Wah with Nuln Oil .
3. Highlight with Ironbreaker .
4. Highlight more selectively with Silver RLM01 Metallic (or Stormhost Silver if you are a Citadel loyalist).

Brass

1. Basecoat with Brass Scorpion .
2. Wash with Agrax Earthshade .
3. Highlight with a mix of Brass Scorpion and Silver RLM01 Metallic . Again, you can use Stormhost Silver if you prefer.
4. Finish with small/specular highlights of Silver RLM01 Metallic .
