My main influence for this first miniature is this specific piece of art. With it being so close to the subject. Not onlynis it one of my favourites, but I suspect the sculptor may have used it for a basis for the upper torso too.

For the mounted version, I took heavy inspiration from this still from the 1988 Takeda Shingen TV show. I liked the general pallete here, and wanted the opportunity to change the colours of some main elements.
