A quick guide showing how I paint desert plants. This recipe has been pulled directly from my "Desert Bases" guide also available on this site, if you were interested in the sand and rocks pictured.
- Basecoat with Loren Forest .
- Wash with Coelia Greenshade .
- Drybrush with Straken Green , to bring out the raised details.
- Lightly drybrush from a downward 45 degree angle with a mix of Straken Green and Ice Yellow (or Dorn Yellow ).
- Add very small/specular highlights with pure Ice Yellow .
