How I paint the Necrons from the Killteam starter set.

Body

  1. Prime black
  2. Do a heavy Drybrush of Black Metal . Leadbelcher can also be used but isn't quite as smooth.
  3. Do a heavy wash with Nuln Oil Gloss
  4. Highlight or deybrush with Ironbreaker
  5. Edge highlight or drybrush with Stormhost Silver

Red Armour

  1. Base with Mephiston Red
  2. Wash with Carroburg Crimson
  3. Highlight or drybrush with Wild Rider Red

Green Glow/tubes

  1. Base with Waaagh! Flesh
  2. highlight or drybrush with Warpstone Glow
  3. Edge highlight or drybrush with Moot Green

For the glow effect in the weapon recesses, mix Moot Green with some Lahmian Medium to make it more wash like in consistency, then apply directly to the recess. It should flow out and into the dip. You may need to do this multiple times to build a bright colour.

Gold

  1. Base with Retributor Armour
  2. Edge highlight with Liberator Gold

Black Areas - Guns

  1. Base with Abaddon Black
  2. Highlight or drybrush with Eshin Grey
  3. Edge highlight with Dawnstone
