A rinse and repeat of my previous tome keepers recipe, but updated with the corresponding Vallejo colours.

Bone Armour

1. Prime with Wraithbone .
2. Basecoat all armour with Iraqi Sand .
3. Zenithal highlight by dry-brushing Ivory .
4. Recess shade the armour with Skeleton Horde , neat but chunky. You only want to pick out any larger shaded areas/margins.
5. Pick out any deeper and finer details using Agrax Earthshade , do this selectively to add depth to the shadows.

At this point I would consider painting the carapace/undersuit, before you start your edge work.

1. Highlight all edges with Ivory .
2. Highlight all prominent edges with Off White
3. Selectively highlight all upward facing and prominent edges with Dead White .

Optional steps: Armour detailing

1. At this point you can decide on any details that you want to pick out of the armour such as tubings or fixings, it helps to maintain consistency army wide.
2. I like to paint each detail with Gunmetal .
3. From here pick out any detailed recesses or points where lines meet with Agrax Earthshade .
4. Highlight any edges using Aluminum .

Carapace/Undersuit

1. Basecoat with Black .
2. Highlight folds with Dark Rubber .
3. Further refine with Stone Wall Grey .
4. Finish on tiny patches of Wolf Grey .
5. Apply a line of Agrax Earthshade where the armour and the suit meet, this provides a bit of a transition between the colours.

Red Chest Device

1. Basecoat with Heavy Red .
2. Lightly recess shade with Agrax Earthshade .
3. Generously edge highlight with Scarlet Red .
4. Where needed, sparing apply patches of Rosy Flesh .

Black Trim

1. Basecoat with Black .
2. Highlight edges with Dark Rubber .
3. Further highlight again with Cold Grey .
4. Finish any exposed edges and corners using Stone Wall Grey .
5. Very selectively highlight any patches of stonewall grey using Off White .

Lenses

1. Basecoat with Heavy Red .
2. Paint all but the recessed with Scarlet Red .
3. (Optional) Add a final shade of Bloody Red to only the inside corner of the eye.
4. Finally if you're feeling brave you can add a small dot of Dead White to the very inside corner.
