- Prime with Wraithbone
Skin and Scales
- Basecoat with Gryph-charger Grey
- Shade with Poxwalker
- Drybrush with Ionrach Skin
- Paint several layers of Gryph-charger Grey over scaly areas for darkness
- Paint the central spine scales and a pattern down from the center line on each side using a 3:2 mix of Luxion Purple and Volupus Pink
- Paint back spines with Leviathan Purple and layer with Genestealer Purple
Armor
- Basecoat with Dragon's Gold
- Layer with two layers of Canoptek Alloy for coverage
- Wash with a 4:1 mix of Contrast Medium and Kroxigor Scales
- Light drybrush with Canoptek Alloy
- Paint gems with Flesh Tearers Red
Ropes
- Basecoat with Doombull Brown
- Wash with Agrax Earthshade
- Stiple highlights with Tuskgor Fur
Feathers
- Basecoat all feathers with Wraithbone
- Basecoat tail feather with Imperial Fist and wash edges with Striking Scorpion Green , blending the transition. Layer the shaft with Dark Angels Green
- Basecoat other feathers with either Magmadroth Flame or Sigvald Burgundy and stiple edges with Fire Dragon Bright or Pink Horror respectively
Additional Details
- Base claws with Black Legion and highlight with Mechanicus Standard Grey and Dawnstone
- Base mouth and eyes with White Star and wash with Aethermatic Blue Highlight with White Star
- Base trinkets with Dragon's Gold and wash with Reikland Fleshshade
- Paint details on trinkets with either White Star or Doom Death Black
