Grey Knight armour using Vallejo Metal Colors and GW Contrast paints

Prime & Basecoat (airbrush)

*Reference to 'thinner' in thinner-to-paint ratios is itself a standard mix of 8 parts Vallejo Airbrush Thinner to 2 parts Vallejo Airbrush Flow Improver

1. Prime the model with Stynylrez Black Primer or Vallejo Surface Primer Black
2. Basecoat with Vallejo Metal Color Burnt Iron

Shade and Highlight (airbrush)

1. Apply under-shade (Spraying the model at 45 degrees from the bottom) of 3:1 thinner to Vallejo Model Air Hull Red to apply warm shades
2. Apply zenithal highlight (at 45-90 degrees top-down) with Vallejo Metal Color Pale Burnt Metal

Wash and Edge Highlight (brush)

1. Apply wash of Citadel Space Wolves Grey Contrast (optionally, you can thin with 1:1 Contrast Medium )
2. Bring back spot highlights on high points with Vallejo Metal Color Pale Burnt Metal
3. Edge highlight with highlight with Vallejo Metal Color Pale Burnt Metal
4. (optional) apply a second, finer highlight of Vallejo Metal Color Silver
