The idea was to create very naturalistic swapmy krox wibe, This recipe is based on my recipe for the Saurus and uses same colors for belly, gold and obsidian among other things
Skin, Scales and Back Spikes
Note: Creed Camo can be replaced with Militarum Green for a warmer scale tone
- Prime with Wraithbone
- Go over the soft skin with Ionrach Skin
- First shading layer with 1:4 Creed Camo | Contrast Medium . This can go all over the model, since it's the lightest shade there is and it's fine for the lightest skin
- Go over the soft skin again with Ionrach Skin to create volumetric highlights on skin
- Go over the scales with a layer of 1:2 Creed Camo | Contrast Medium (can be done several times to darken the scales to your liking and to create gradient in shading)
- Layer of pure Creed Camo for the back spikes
- Second layer of Creed Camo with a tiny dash of Dryad Bark mixed in for the back spikes
- Edge highlight each edge of each spike layer on the back as well as ridges with Straken Green
- Edge highlight the most prominent spikes with Ionrach Skin
- Add another layer of volumetric highlights to soft skin with 1:1 Ionrach Skin | Wraithbone
- Edge highlight the edges of the soft skin with pure Wraithbone
Claws
Including spikes on arms and legs
- Basecoat with Wraithbone
- Go over with Skeleton Horde

Gold
- Basecoat with Skullcrusher Brass
- Pick out some areas with Gore-grunta Fur diluted slightly with water or medium to create "red gold" accents
- Cover the hilt of the weapon with diluted Cygor Brown for brownish gold details
- Go over all the gold with Seraphim Sepia
- Edge highlight the gold with Liberator Gold
- Dot highlight with 1:1 Liberator Gold | Stormhost Silver
