The colour scheme used on my Chaos Space Marine plasma weapons. Adapted from Xenus Minis tutorial.
An updated, more muted glow effect using the similar red effect used before. I much prefer this look!
This is the method I use to paint green plasma weapons. I like to think that the plasma will be the hottest/brightest at the bottom of the coils where they meet the rest of the gun. So I like to paint the coils brighter near the bottom and darker near the top, where the coils will be the coolest.
Used with great effect on larger plasma - difficult on pistols
Standard way to paint New Wave models. Used so far for New Wave Expansion Pack Alpha (3 miniatures: 1 Teucer with Plasma Sniper Rifle, 1 Patroclus with Heavy Rocket Launcher, and 1 Contrabandolero Hacker with Submachine Gun).
First time I've painted New Wave and was a fun way to do some more distinct colour. Wanted to make sure red really worked (had to try a few different paints before settling on contrast as base and then highlighting up from there)
