This is a written version of the Duncan Rhodes tutorial. Not my work.

1. Undercoat in Uniform Grey .

First batch towards black wash.

You can paint with a larger brush here.

1. Inside of coats with Gal Vorbak Red .
2. Metal armor pieces in Abaddon Black (or Black ).
3. Soft parts of armor (corset, back of knee, etc) in Dryad Bark .
4. Outside of robes with Mephiston Red .
5. Cables, pipes, bolt gun in Leadbelcher .
6. White decorations (e.g. wings and fleur-de-lis on shoulder pads) in Ulthuan Grey (or just White ).
7. Cover all in Nuln Oil and make sure nothing stains in the large red sections. Dry for about an hour.

Second batch towards brown wash.

Switch to a fine brush.

1. Paint brown leather straps or belts in Mournfang Brown .
2. Add Retributor Armour on decorative crosses and fleur-de-lis.
3. Paint hair in Pallid Wych Flesh . Might need multiple coats to fully cover.
4. Only on second batch colors, apply light coat of Agrax Earthshade with a fine tip. Especially just light shade on the hair. Dry for about an hour.

Skin

1. Cover face with Cadian Fleshtone , make sure to avoid hair.
2. Shade skin with Reikland Fleshshade .
3. Highlight raised face areas (nose, upper lips, chin, cheekbones) with Kislev Flesh .
4. Highlight sharpest face edges with Screaming Skull .

Rebuild mid-tones

1. Paint raised areas of coat and sleaves with diluted Mephiston Red (avoid any shaded creases).
2. Lighten the gun magazine and grip with Leadbelcher .
3. Cover wider white sections with Ulthuan Grey .

Highlights

1. Highlight armor edges (shoulder, feet, legs) with Mechanicus Standard Grey .
2. Highlight dark leather (gloves, armor joints, corset) with Stormvermin Fur .
3. Highlight peaks of inside robe with Daemonette Hide .
4. Highlight peaks of outside robe and robe edges with Evil Sunz Scarlet .
5. Highlight gun edges with Stormhost Silver .
6. Highlight cables and rivets with Stormhost Silver .
7. Highlight gold edges with Liberator Gold .
8. Highlight soft leather edges with Skrag Brown .
9. Highlight hair edges with Pallid Wych Flesh .
10. Highlight highest edges of hair and white armor decoration with White Scar .

Finish the basing.
