Green Skin

  1. Prime the miniature with Russian Green 4bo .
  2. Basecoat the skin with Deathworld Forest . The colours are pretty similar, so you could probably get away with one quick coat.
  3. Drybrush with Straken Green and Nurgling Green mixed 1:1.
  4. Wash the skin with 1 part Darkoath Flesh & 1 part Contrast Medium .
  5. Basecoat the fleshy bits with Bugman's Glow .
  6. Go over the fleshy parts with some Carroburg Crimson , to bring back colour. I used a drop of Lahmian Medium to thin it.
  7. When the wash above is dry, pick out small highlights on the fleshy bits with Kislev Flesh .
  8. Edge highlight with Straken Green .
  9. Selectively highlight with Nurgling Green .
  10. Add specular highlights with a mix of Nurgling Green and Pallid Wych Flesh . You could also add specular highlights of pure Pallid Wych Flesh to select areas, if you wanted.

Bone Carapace

  1. Basecoat with Ushabti Bone .
  2. Go over all of the carapace with Skeleton Horde . Try to drag the pigment away from edges to create as much of a gradient as possible.
  3. Add chunky edge highlights of Ushabti Bone to all of the plating. Also add striations on the edges of large plates with the same chunky lines.
  4. With Pallid Wych Flesh , edge highlight it all again with fine lines. Place these fine lines withing the striations from the last stage too.
  5. Finish off these highlights with a pure white (like White Scar ). Make these hihglights very selective or even specular highlights. These should be placed on the edges of the striations too.

Black Bone Claws/Weapons

  1. Basecoat with Abaddon Black .
  2. Glaze away from recesses with a 1:1 mix of Abaddon Black and Skavenblight Dinge .
  3. With Skavenblight Dinge , add chunky edge highlights to everything.
  4. Now apply fine edge highlights of Stormvermin Fur .
  5. Mix a little Ushabti Bone into your Stormvermin Fur and selectivly highlight points, plus edges that would really catch the light.
  6. Finally, mix in a little Pallid Wych Flesh into the above paint and add specular highlights to points.

Yellow Eyes

  1. First, ensure the area around the eye is nice and dark. Hopefully the skin wash has done this for you, if not pop some Agrax Earthshade in there.
  2. Now basecoat the eye with Averland Sunset .
  3. Highlight a smaller area towards the front with Dorn Yellow .
  4. Finally pick out a specular highlight with White Scar .

Teeth

  1. First, ensure the area around each tooth is nice and dark. Hopefully the skin wash has done this for you, if not paint some Agrax Earthshade over there.
  2. Pick out each tooth with a couple of layers of Ushabti Bone .
  3. Add a smaller layer of Wraithbone to make each tooth look more cylindrical.
  4. Finally, add specular highlights of White Scar to the points.
