I am trying to paint up the contents of the WarCry: Bloodhunt box in an easy to replicate and fast-ish scheme. If I buy other expansions with unique features I will update as I progress though. Currently, the weather is wet and cold and I haven't had a chance to get a deep brown primer. I will post pictures as soon as possible.

As it sits this is a recipe, but as I add pictures I might add more in-depth and turn it into a full blown tutorial with better explanations and tips.

Assembly and Prep

  1. Assemble terrain in as many sub assemblies as you are comfortable with. I recommend building the base trees and leaving off all bamboo platforms (or as many as possible).
  2. Trim mold lines or don't......your choice
  3. Prime everything in a dark brown similar to Dryad Bark

Gnarlwood

  1. Using a large makeup brush, drybrush the entire tree Gorthor Brown from roots to tips of branches
  2. Using a large makeup brush drybrush the trunk and limbs of tree Baneblade Brown and fade into roots/lower portion of tree
  3. Using a large makeup brush drybrush the limbs of the tree Karak Stone and fade into trunk

Bamboo

  1. Using a fluffy makeup brush, drybrush the bamboo with XV-88
  2. Using a fluffy makeup brush, drybrush the bamboo with Balor Brown
  3. Using a fluffy makeup brush, drybrush the bamboo with Zamesi Desert
  4. Edge highlight/drybrush with Wraithbone

Bone

  1. Basecoat all bone with Castellan Green
  2. Using a fluffy makeup brush, drybrush the bone with Zandri Dust
  3. Using a fluffy makeup brush, drybrush the bone with Ushabti Bone
  4. Using fluffy makeup brush, drybrush the bone with Screaming Skull

Stone

  1. Basecoat all Stone with Castellan Green
  2. Using a fluffy makeup brush, drybrush the stone with Celestra Grey
  3. Heavy wash with Athonian Camoshade
  4. Using a fluffy makeup brush, drybrush the stone with Ulthuan Grey
  5. Drybrush with Longbeard Grey ?

Ropes/Wraps

  1. Basecoat ropes/wraps with Stormvermin Fur
  2. Wash with Basilicanum Grey
