- Prime in Matt Black
- Base of Gun Metal
- Make random splotches of thinned down Fur Brown
- Paint inside the previous splotches with Oak Brown darkest towards the center of the previous layer
- Dab and stipple with an old brush Fresh Rust around the previously painted patches
- Apply a wash of Strong Tone to blend previous layers
- Edge highlight with Plate Mail Metal
- Apply chipping and scratches with Plate Mail Metal
