My guide for painting Dire Wolves

Priming

  1. Prime with Matt Black
  2. Touch up areas not covered by spray can with Brush-on Primer
  3. Base coat Matt Black on areas where grey brush on primer appears

Brown Fur

  1. Base coat of Bootstrap Brown
  2. Dry brush with Command Khaki on raised edges
  3. Edge highlight tips with Urban Buff
  4. Wash of Dark Skin Shade

Exposed Bones

  1. Base coat of Paratrooper Tan
  2. Dry brush of Pale Sand
  3. Wash with Soft Tone

Eyes

  1. Base coat of Matt White within the eye socket
  2. Wash of Plasma Coil Glow within the eye socket
  3. Matt White focused as a dot where you would like the eye to be (for effect)

Exposed Muscles

  1. Base coat of Raging Rouge (Apply at least two thin coats)
  2. Wash of Dark Red Tone
  3. Add True Blood to center of muscles

Rotting Flesh

  1. Base coat of Dusty Skull
  2. Wash with Strong Skin Shade

Basing

  1. Base coat of Oak Brown
  2. Dry brush of Worn Stone

Leather straps

  1. Base coat of Leather Brown
  2. Wash with Strong Skin Shade
