Preparation

  1. Prepare the model with a zenithal highlight. Beginning with Black , working up to Cold Grey and White .

Base Coats

  1. Use a dark grey, such as German Grey or Uniform Grey , to paint the undersuit and boots.
  2. Paint the leather belts using Brown Leather and adding some variation/highlights with Saddle Brown .
  3. For the grey or silver areas, such as the "unpainted" beskar armor, holsters, weapons, and jetpacks, use a 2:1 mixture of Gryph-charger Grey to Basilicanum Grey as a basecoat. At this stage you should work quickly and absorb excess paint to prevent pooling.
  4. Alternatively, use a traditional NMM method, working your way from Deep Grey up to Company Grey .

Night Owls

  1. Use a 1:1 mixture of Cantabric Blue and Violet to basecoat the colored armor plates.
  2. Paint the visor Black .
  3. For the pops of white, such as on Bo-Katan's helmet, use Nacar .
  4. Highlight the blue armor by gradually mixing in Caribbean Blue and White Sands to the previously used blue mixture.

Shadow Collective

  1. For any darker armor plates, such as Gar Saxon's armor, add a second layer of the contrast grey mixture.
  2. Paint the weapons with Black Templar .
  3. Paint the red armor using Burnt Red , Blood Red , and Antares Red .
  4. Paint any armor markings with freehand Graphene Gray .
  5. Paint the visors and glowing bits White Scar and then apply Yellow Fluorescent .

Highlights

  1. Use a pale grey such as Pale Grey Blue for armor chipping.
  2. Highlight the undersuit with Uniform Grey .
  3. Highlight the leathers with Iroko .

Smoke Plumes

  1. Give a rough coat of White all over, be sure to have a full opaque coat towards the top.
  2. Use a pale yellow such as Ice Yellow or Pale Yellow to glaze color towards the top of the plume.
  3. Use Orange/Red Fluorescent paint towards the bottom of the plume.
  4. Gradually mix both paints to create a gradient from top to bottom.
  5. Drybrush Graphene Gray all over the bottom of the smoke plume.
  6. Work up to Graphite , using a drybrush but then coloring some select areas for highlights.
