The colour schemes are loosely based on the official paint scheme from Games Workshop.

This recipe is based on "Dark Brown Leather" by RookieBrushes, so full credit to that author. My version follows the same instructions as RookieBrushes but uses an alternative set of paints I happened to already own.

How I paint my Nighthaunt armies
This is my take on the colour scheme of Adharon's Reavers, a Chaos Space Marine warband featured in Forgeworld's Imperial Armour Vol. 13
I wanted my Death Guard Primarch to be pretty close to the Games Workshop boxart, so I relied heavily on recipes from 'eavy-archive.com' for this project. Please do check them out if you need as much help with paint selection as I do.

The Big Man himself. This model is hardcore and looks damn intimidating if you dont plan out each section well. Fun to paint but there is definitely a lot going on. I painted him in a single piece (Besides the base) by first priming and zenithal highlighting the entire model then using liquid mask to cover his flesh so I could airbrush the cloak. No two ways about it, if this is an option for you it will save you a LOT of time and look damn good. I cannot recommend the Cult of Paint tutorial enough for this and as a really good look at the process of painting a large centrepiece like this. I <3 Cult of Paint.
This is my take on the paint scheme of the Silver Sons warband, featured in the Thousand Sons Codex for 8th Ed. 40k.
The recipe and methods I use to paint bulk EC models. Recipe is based off regular models (space marine, noise marine, etc) but colours, ratios and general aesthetic works across bigger models.
General rules are:
1. Majority of model is pink
2. Second most colour is black
3. Bronze/Gold for Trims and specific details
4. Grey metallics for basic stuff (chains, studs, etc)
5. Small amount of bright colours to make things pop (greens/yellows/neon reds) on things like eyes, plasma coils, backpack decorations, etc)
