Belonging to the 6th Plague Company, the warband of the Glooming Lords have a particular hatred for the followers of Tzeentch whose riotous vibrancy is antithetical to these morose followers of Nurgle.

This is my Glooming Lords scheme. I went with a more desaturated green for the trim, allowing the blues and purples to add visual interest.

  1. Prime with Chaos Black

Black (Armour Panels)

  1. Drybrush over the primer with Abaddon Black to even coverage.
  2. Highlight the edges with Stegadon Scale Green
  3. Highlight fine points and sharp edges with Fenrisian Grey

Green (Armour Trim)

  1. Base the trim with Death Guard Green
  2. Shade over the trim with Athonian Camoshade focusing on the recesses.
  3. Highlight fine points and edges with Nurgling Green

Silver (Details)

  1. Base with Leadbelcher
  2. Shade all over with Nuln Oil
  3. Drybrush the area sparingly with Leadbelcher
  4. Add rust effects using Skrag Brown thinned with Lahmian Medium

Purple (Cloth)

  1. Base with Naggaroth Night
  2. Shade in the recesses with Nuln Oil
  3. Highlight the edges with Xereus Purple
  4. Highlight fine points with Emperor's Children

Blue (Lenses)

I like to also like to use these colours for my plasma coils.

  1. Base with Sotek Green
  2. Shade over with Drakenhof Nightshade
  3. Layer over the middle with Temple Guard Blue , leaving some Sotek Green in the darker recesses.
  4. Highlight with Baharroth Blue
  5. Highlight fine points with Baharroth Blue mixed 1:1 with White Scar

Gold (Details)

  1. Base with Retributor Armour
  2. Shade over with Agrax Earthshade
  3. Edge highlight with Stormhost Silver focusing on points and sharp edges.

Grey (Armour Ribbing)

  1. Base with Mechanicus Standard Grey
  2. Shade with Nuln Oil
  3. Highlight with Dawnstone

Brown (Leather)

  1. Base with Rhinox Hide
  2. Shade in the recesses with Agrax Earthshade
  3. Highlight the edges with Skrag Brown
  4. Add a finer highlight with Ushabti Bone
