Some quick and easy red bases for your miniatures. I tried to keep the colour quite desaturated, so it doesn't draw attention from your model.

  1. Basecoat with German Red Brown .
  2. Wash with Reikland Fleshshade , if deeper recesses need more definition, shade with some thinned Agrax Earthshade .
  3. Drybrush with Tuskgor Fur .
  4. Lighter drybrush of Karak Stone .
  5. If any corners need an extra bit of "pop", add a specular highlight of Screaming Skull .
  6. I then finished off my base by stippling some Vallejo Pigments "Brown Iron Oxide" around the feet.

If you wanted a slightly brighter result, try a basecoat of Wazdakka Red and a wash of Agrax Earthshade instead.
