A very easy method for blood drops. I'm sure you could replace this with Nurgle's Rot, or perhaps gloss and then paint with Contrast for all sorts of effects.

Quick and easy base perfect for a red planet/Mars theme. Actual paints don't matter too much, as long as they're red and grey, as it's the pigments that do all the work!

I use VMC & VGC colors for this, but any set of dark, medium, and light colors should work just as well.
A short huide for any fleshy details on nurgle models.
Method done on a Armiger Helverin and Cerastus Knight, should work for all others
Classic red-and-brass World Eaters armour, for regular Chaos Space Marines or Khorne Berzerkers.
I wanted something special for my Adeptus Arbites Extraction Squad Kill Team and was fascinated by those on the official artwork. This could also be used for Megacity bases or any urban/road environment.
This is my take on the Lost Sons warband colour scheme, inspired by the work of Bakerb24 on the 40k homebrew site.
Although I have used Sergeant Ripper Jackson for this guide, the paint used here should work great for the standard Catachan Jungle Fighters too.
A bit of a cheat with power weapons! I used Daler Rowney FW ink Payne's Grey and White, but you can substitute any white or black ink, or even highly pigmented paint. I'll add step-by-step photos at a later point.
