Here is how I painted Oda Nobunaga from the excellent "Daimyos" set from Warlord Games. These miniatures have been designed for the Pike & Shotte gaming system, but could be used in a variety of games.
This recipe will detail how I painted the Griffin from the BattleTech Beginner Box. It is done in a very non-traditional style, using lots of metallic paints, meant to evoke the quasi-Napoleonic elements of the setting.
My interpretation of the iconic Clint Eastwood played character from 'High Plains Drifter'. His role in this movie seems to be the inspiration for "The Stranger" in Great Escape Games' 'The Good' expansion. the model itself is built from the plastic Gunfighter kit, with the whip/lasso arm coming from the Mounted Gunfighters box.

I really fell in love with Clan Ghost Bear after playing the Flash Storm DLC of MechWarrior 5: Clans. I immediately set out to paint a star in the Silveroot's colors.
Painting white can be a real pain. It's important to make sure your paint is well mixed and thinned down. It will likely take quite a few coats for a solid, consistent midtone.
