The Twistweald Warband, emerging from the depths of enchanted forests, embodies the balance between primal nature and arcane magic. Their models reflect this blend, with intricate details like living bark armor, glowing sigils, ethereal weapons, and even mushrooms sprouting from their forms. This guide will walk you through painting these dynamic models with a step-by-step, efficient approach, ensuring that their natural and magical elements stand out on the tabletop.
Here is how I painted my copy of this exclusive miniature from the "Wars of the Samurai" supplement for Pike & Shotte. Such a fantastic sculpt.
My first attempt at recording and refining my method for a model type. This was my test model for the 2024 Kill Team starter set Plague Marines, and I was happy with the results. this is a good article for alot of stuff if you want to swap in and out effects and such

Not my own recipe/guide but rather a simplified text version for myself, trying to follow Medder's Miniatures' guide (you can find it in the link). Green parts are painted with a sponge.
My first test model for an entire Idoneth Deepkin army. Painted mostly with 6 paints from AK’s night creatures paint set. This army will have a strong and bright gradient of purple/red/magenta that makes it stand out on the table top.
