tl;dr for Warhammer's "How to Paint: Space Marine Cloaks" tutorial on youtube.
This recipe is mainly here as a reminder to myself; it uses several paint ranges to achieve an effect I'm sure you can manage more simply! I chose the red-orange desert scheme to complement the warm green tones of Salamanders Space Marines.
Update: I've since moved to a slightly less lurid colour scheme for these bases, as they can end up overwhelming the model! You can find it here in my Salamanders tutorial: https://paintpad.app/recipes/2325-salamanders-v0-9
A slightly darker, deeper red cloth than what I normally use for my Black Legion tabards.
Raven Guard Second Founding successor, but modified because the extra touches of red and black make it pop more, in my opinion
Step by step on how I painted my Parasite of Mortrex
Here is how I painted the undead skin on my Plaguebearers of Nurgle. This method is a slightly modified version of Mengal Miniatures' "Zombie Rotting Skin" guide.
Based largely on JuanHidalgo Miniatures 'Eavy Contrast video, this is how I painted the main armour and trim colours of this Alpha Legion Chaos Space Marine.
I haven't covered the scale effect on this leg here, for this I would recommend checking out his full video. It really is excellent.
A rinse and repeat of my previous tome keepers recipe, but updated with the corresponding Vallejo colours.
How I painted the new Imotekh the Stormlord, as a text supplement to my video tutorial.
The Penitent from Oathsworn: Into the Deepwood. I wanted to expand my use of metallics, inspired by https://monumenthobbies.com/blogs/methodologies/methodology-29-weathered-bronze-armor
I really liked the colors this included, though I overdid the metals themselves. The game has a LOT of capes, mostly red or purple, so I wanted to try an orange version. The end result is a bit eccentric given the game's theme, but I'm pretty happy with it overall, especially since I don't have any dark orange tones.
